About

This is a website designed to give you – the parent or parent to be, a new perspective and clarity before and during your travels with your little ones. It isn’t a must do or a definitive list, just something to inspire and motivate creativity in your travels, and help reassure you that travelling with children doesn’t need to be scary or overwhelming. We all get it wrong, and no one can plan for perfection, as much as we can try. But hopefully this will help make your planning, and your holiday that little bit less stressful, more insightful, and emote a sense of assurance in yourself, giving you hope that a holiday can be just as good as they look on peoples facebook pages. My ‘perfect holiday’ always comes from plenty of research beforehand, preparation, and knowing the best things to take with me, and leave behind. I hope this site alleviates some of the time and hassle beforehand, and/or give you the courage to make the move, and book a holiday. Holidays should be exactly what they state: A period of leisure and recreation, especially while away from home. A break. A rest. I am a mother of two stunningly beautiful boys, and we live in the city of Auckland NZ. I have a bachelor of fine art, and have had a passion for photography since I was a young girl. My husband and I lived in London for 8 years, which installed in me the hunger for travel, as countries we could only have dreamed about were now next door. We travel as often as we can, though my husband isn’t as excited as I am, I have a way of pushing my plans and excitement for the whole family to enjoy.

Having time away from home has given me a fresh perspective on our ridiculously picturesque island of NZ, allowing me to see this country with tourists eyes, rather than a heart of indifference, which unfortunately, comes all too naturally for us kiwis.

My hope is that these pages bring inspiration, joy, and even a little laughter, as I let open the doors of our crazy life, of two kids, a couple of suitcases, a pushchair, a car seat, a portacot, a whole lot of nappies, and a rather embarrassingly heavy camera. And a laptop.
